Major Bobby Webre has been the Warden at the Ascension Parish Jail since 1996. He began his career with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office in 1985 after completing his military service. Warden Webre was promoted to the rank of Sergeant after serving six years in the Patrol Division. In 1992, Warden Webre was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and supervised the Warrants and Courtroom Security Divisions of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. In 1996, Warden Webre was promoted to Captain and became the Jail Administrator under the administration of newly elected Sheriff Jeffrey F. Wiley and currently holds this position with the rank of Major.In 2007, Warden Webre was selected to attend the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico ,Virginia. Currently, Major Webre oversees all jail and patrol operations on the west bank of Ascension Parish. Bobby and his wife Karen have been married for 24 years and currently live in Gonzales.
